From The Beautiful "Blue" West Coast

It has been a historic day today --- we try very hard to not be opinionated or political on this blog for our kids, but at the same time it is hard to deny that the future for our two beautiful girls all of a sudden looks a little brighter.....

On the day that we took these photos the girls were trying on new dresses. Both girls are becoming more and more beautiful, inside and out, with each and every day that goes by. We can't go to any public place anymore without several people stopping us to comment on the girls!!!

The lavender blue dress that Olivia is wearing is extra special. It was given to her by a dear friend of ours that we met in Ust-Kamenogorsk when we were in the process of adopting Olivia. She had bought the dress in Paris for the daughter that she anticipated adopting, but as things turned out she ended up with a boy instead. This friend, and her son, are planning on visiting us on Fox Island this spring. We can't wait to see both of them again. Her son came from the very same baby-room where we adopted Lauren in 2005.
