First Snowball Fight

Lauren quite enjoyed her first snowball fight. It was fun throwing snowballs, but it was even more fun being hit by one she thought. Now if we had only thought to bring a sled. Maybe next time.

The first afternoon at the Lake we ended up playing in the snow three times, taking breaks just long enough for Lauren's clothes to dry some. She would have kept going all night. And she was ready for more the next morning.

Surprise!

Boy were we in for a surprise this time when we visited the Quinault Lodge at Lake Quinault. Snow! Lauren was so excited she could hardly contain herself. We had been dissappointed that there was no snow at all during our two weeks in Finland, but now Lauren got a chance to play in the snow. We are told it rarely snows at Lake Quinault, and during any of our winter visits here we have never seen as much as a snow-flake. We weren't quite prepared clothing-wise, but that did not seem to stop Lauren!
