Labor Day Morning

Our friend Bonnie brought Lauren a "McQueen Blanket" (main character from the movie "Cars") yesterday which Lauren found quite to her liking. This morning when she was lounging on the couch she even let Olivia try it out for a little bit.

First Birthday

Olivia had her First Birthday on Friday, August 29th.

We had a few friends over Sunday to celebrate. Here Carla is "corrupting" Olivia teaching her all about chocolate cup-cakes and lemon cream & berry trifle.



Unlike Lauren who shuns most things that are sweet, Olivia found these things quite delightful.... especially chocolate!

Olivia likes to share. Here she is offering us the use of her "binky".

Drying Off

With our cool summers it is nice to wrap up in a large, soft towel after swimming and splashing around for what seems like hours.

Summer Fun

Both Lauren and Olivia love water and each and every day that it has been warm enough outside to do so they have enjoyed their pools very much.

This is Olivia's small "kiddy-pool" but that didn't stop Lauren from jumping in and joining in on the splashing. She even managed to do some of her gymnastics moves.
