Birds
During a recent trip to Texas we stopped by a park near where we used to live in Dallas. We thought Lauren would enjoy feeding the ducks.
These birds were not exactly shy... they took bread out of our hands if we did not throw it to them quickly enough. Lauren didn't know quite what to think about the resulting feeding frenzy.

I was just looking at your blog and I am amazed at how much your daughter looks like mine. They could be twins! I adopted my daughter from Karaganda last year. She is 7 now but I hosted her for the summer when she was 4. I have a picture of her lying on her side and it looks exactly like the one of your daughter! My daughter is half Tatar and half Russian-or so they say.
