Purple-People Eater

Lauren was being silly with the blanket when she discovered she could walk around with it on her head and become a monster. She laughed so hard at herself being a monster. This game lasted for a long, long time.

Jet-Lag

Lauren finally fell victim to Jet-lag. One minute she was running around playing the next she was passed out on the couch.

She did great on her flight to and from Finland. She even had passengers and flight attendants commenting on how well behaved she was. She never stops amazing us!

New Finnish Friend

Grandma and Grandpa have the best dog in the world! "Noah" was so good with Lauren and Lauren loved him. She was even trying to share his chew toys. She just knew they had to taste great......

Fun in Finland

Lauren had a great time visiting Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Thomas in Finland over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Grandma gave Lauren a piano lesson. We were all very surprised at how much she enjoyed the piano. She has always had an ear for music. We will have to continue expanding her musical knowledge.

Grandpa and Uncle Thomas kept Lauren entertained, or maybe she was keeping them entertained.... Either way she had a blast!

One Year Ago Today...

One year ago today we first met Lauren --- part of us can not believe a year has already passed by, but mostly we cannot imagine life without Lauren. The adoption travel now seems like a long ago and distant "adventure".

Lauren is no longer the baby you see in these pictures... she is now a young lady of a year and a half. Well traveled and worldly by her estimation. Next week she'll be heading over to Europe to spend Thanksgiving with Grandmama & Grandpapa. She's taking us along with her. We are excited.

Halloween

We took Lauren to Gig Harbor (our nearest town) for Trick or Treat. They host a safe place for the kids to go Trick or Treat. From 3:00 to 6:00 on Halloween all of the shops open their doors to the children and buckets of candy are passed out. They even had pirates and a pirate ship docked in the harbor for the kids to board. The weather was wonderful, cold but clear, even Mount Rainer was showing her face.

Lauren spent more time running after all of the dogs that were walking around (most in costume) than she spent getting candy. She was the cutest flower present, at least we think so! We had a great time and look forward to next year when she will understand what it is all about.
